A great way to get motivated to exercise is to know the benefits of exercise ! An Editorial in the Annals of Internal Medicine discussed how 150 minutes of exercise weekly, 30 minutes 5 times a week can decrease abdominal obesity which is correlated with elevated cholesterol levels, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease. The higher intensity and longer duration of exercise has an even greater amount on improving glycemic control and cardiorespiratory fitness! So, get moving!
